Lemony Inexperienced Beans

Recent inexperienced beans was once a luxurious solely afforded by the prolific yard gardener or the prosperous foodie. Now, with a farmer's market someplace on the town on daily basis of the week, and high-tech flash frozen beans on the grocery retailer, you may make this lemony veggie dish any time of the 12 months. I like Dealer Joe's frozen inexperienced beans. Already ready and able to prepare dinner.

One bag of Dealer Joe's frozen french inexperienced beans
giant colander
operating water
1/four cup olive oil
half cup finely diced onions
three cloves garlic sliced
half lemon's juice
lemon zest
salt (to style)
cracked black pepper (to style)
1/four cup toasted almonds (entire, halves, sliced...)
lemon peel (ornamental)

Empty bag of inexperienced beans into colander. Rinse completely in chilly water. Let dry for five minutes. Rinse once more in chilly water. Put aside. Warmth olive oil in a big skillet. Add sliced garlic and onions. Toss and prepare dinner till onions are partially browned. Add inexperienced beans. Add a drizzle of olive oil on high of beans and toss in pan. Add half lemon's juice. Add lemon zest. Add salt and cracked black pepper. Toss completely. As quickly because the beans flip vivid inexperienced and glossy, take off the warmth (about four min). Add almonds. Place onto a big platter. For an ornamental contact, add a sprinkle of lemon peel on high.

You may take this dish on a tenting or a rafting journey. Simply put the entire thing in a ziplock baggie and put within the cooler. I like this dish chilly or at room temperature. Add cooked leftover rooster to the dish and create a low-carb, one bowl meal.
